Just a reminder of our Grandparents Morning tea on Friday. Mass at 9:20 and then some time in classrooms followed by morning tea in the hall. 

Every family please bring a plate to share for the monring tea.. You might even convince Nana to bring some home baking!!

Fixed Term Teaching Vacancy Filled

It is with great joy and excitement that we are delighted to share some wonderful news with our St Anthony’s whānau! 

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Megan Bennett to our teaching staff. Megan will be joining our kura from 16 November 2026, taking on the role of classroom teacher for our Year 7 & 8 Sr Brigid classroom, while Jenni fulfils her Acting Principal responsibilities.

Megan is a dedicated and passionate teacher who brings a wonderful combination of energy, enthusiasm and a great sense of humour to her teaching. We know she will be a wonderful addition to our staff and a valued member of our school community.

We are especially delighted that Megan will continue with us throughout 2027 as a fixed term full-time classroom teacher. We look forward to the knowledge, passion and enthusiasm she will bring to our tamariki and to our kura.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Megan to St Anthony’s. We are so excited to have her joining our teaching team and look forward to the wonderful contribution she will make to our school community.

We are thrilled to welcome Taki Rua Productions back to our kura this Wednesday afternoon!

 Wednesday 16 September
 1:30–3:00pm

Taki Rua Productions is a national kaupapa Māori performing arts organisation, and we are very excited to have them sharing their mahi with our tamariki once again.

RERE ATU TAKU POI

This year, Taki Rua will be performing Rere Atu Taku Poi.

Rangi loves doing haka, but performing poi is his favourite — even though his classmates say poi is “just for girls”. When the lead poi performer becomes sick just before a school performance, Rangi has to step in and take her place.

How will the other students and the audience react?
Surely a boy can't lead the poi?

This is a wonderful opportunity for our tamariki to experience live theatre while exploring themes of identity, courage, inclusion and challenging stereotypes through kaupapa Māori storytelling.

Whānau are very welcome to join us for this special performance.
