Nau mai Haere mai. At St Anthony's School, we are proud to offer a welcoming, nurturing Catholic education for students from Year 1 to Year 8.
Located in the heart of Pahiatua, we are a close community that belongs to the St Brigid’s Parish.
Founded over 100 years ago by the Brigidian Sisters, we cherish our rich history and the values that have shaped us. Our Catholic Character is at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to teaching our LIFE values: Love, Integrity, Fortitude, and Excellence. These values guide both our teaching and how we live our daily lives. We strive to provide a modern, well-resourced learning environment that prepares students for a bright future.
Our dedicated staff are passionate about delivering up-to-date teaching and learning experiences, while modeling the values that define our school. St Anthony’s is not just a school – it’s a vibrant community. Our whānau play an active role in their children’s learning, and we work together to provide the best possible educational experiences.
We would love for you to come and see what makes our school so special. We look forward to meeting you and sharing the journey of learning and growth. Come and be part of our story!
Nga mihi nui,
Principal Marg Hyslop
Prizegiving is on tonight - Thursday, 11 December 2025 at 6pm. This will be held at St Brigid’s Church. All students from Y1 - Y8 are expected to attend this event in their formal uniform. Students should arrive at the church by 5.40pm.
A big thank you to Mrs Anderson who is going to be our official photographer at the prize giving. This means that you can all sit back, and enjoy the Prizegiving and not worry about taking photos.
There will be an opportunity at the end of the night, for parents and Year 8 students to take group photos.
There will also be a cup of tea after Prizegiving for everyone to catch up.
Please see the attached notice about our 2026 School Camp for the Y7 & Y8 class next year. Please contact Jenni Harrison should you require any further information.
As advertised in the recent school newsletter, please find attached our Draft 2026 - 2028 Strategic Plan.
This plan sets the direction for our school for the next three years. It incorporates many aspects of feedback from our school community, the Ministry of Education and the Palmerston North Diocese. If you have any comments or suggestions on this plan, please advise Principal Marg Hyslop principal@stanthony.ac.nz or Presiding Member of the Board Natalie Beech nbeech@stanthony.ac.nz by 27 November 2025, so that we can have this plan ready to finalise at our upcoming BOT meeting.
